When you come up with your own activity, we've made it easy to post it. That’s what Hank is all about.
Step 1: Click "+ Create activity" button
Click on the "Activities" tab at the top left of the page (or bottom left of the page if you're on your phone). Then click on the red button to the right that says "+ Create activity" on desktop or "+" on your phone.
Step 2: Fill in the activity details.
Add an image (optional)
Use a clear, horizontal image at least 1200x600px.
Name your activity
Give your event a clear, inviting title (e.g., Bingo Night! or Coffee Chat). If the event is free, you may want to include that in the event title.
Select your activity type
Choose from online or in-person.
Enter the location
Add the in-person address or virtual activity URL.
Give your activity a date and time
Timezones are automatically displayed in the time zone that corresponds with the event location for in-person events. For virtual events, be sure to clarify the timezone in the description.
Give your activity a description
Include directions on how to attend, special instructions (e.g., what to bring), or who to contact for more info. If the event as an associated fee, be sure to include information on the cost. If a ticket is required for admission, make sure to include the link to purchase a ticket.
Limit the capacity (optional)
Smaller activities often create a more connected experience, but if there is no set capacity, you can leave this blank.
Create your activity
Get ready to host your activity! Chat before to say hello, make plans, connect, and have fun at your activity!
Step 3: Know What It Means To Be a Hank Ambassador
When you post an activity, you are the host—this means you plan to attend and can help welcome participants, answer questions, or guide the activity. When you host an activity, you are automatically a Hank Ambassador. Learn more about Hank Ambassadors here.
Modifying or Updating Your Activity
Need to make changes to your activity after posting? No problem! Simply go to your event page, and click the purple "Manage activity" button, where you'll be able to change the date, time, location, or description, or cancel your activity. If you want to make this a recurring activity, you can will also see an option to duplicate the activity.
Have An Activity Idea, But Prefer We Post For You?
You can also email your event flyer or schedule to us at [email protected]. We'll post it on your behalf—just let us know whether you plan to host the event or if you'd like it to be host-free.
Tips for Great Events
Try to post events 5-7 days ahead to give members time to RSVP
Choose a great photo and a friendly, welcoming tone in your description
Share your event link via email or text to spread the word beyond Hank
